How The Paw Test makes money
Short version: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you tap a "Check price on Amazon" button and buy something, Amazon pays us a small commission. You pay the same price.
What that means for you
- Every "Check price on Amazon" button is an affiliate link. It goes straight to the product on Amazon (no redirect, so the Amazon app can open on your phone), with our tracking tag in the link. Visitors in Canada go to Amazon.ca; for now everyone else does too.
- The commission never changes what we recommend. Picks come from what dog owners report, not from what pays more. Amazon pays the same rate for every product in a category, so there's no reason to favour one brand.
- No brand has paid us, and no brand has given or lent us a product. If that ever changes, we'll say so right next to that product, not only on this page.
- We don't show Amazon prices or star ratings. Prices change constantly; check them on Amazon.
How our guides are made
Unless a section says "we tested this", we did not use the product ourselves. We analyze what real owners report: first-hand posts on Reddit, reviews on brand and retailer sites, and independent hands-on tests, and we link every source. Details: How we review.
